CITY OF. RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY DECEIt 3nh 31, 1937.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said
Board, Friday December 31, 1937 ,. at 9 :00 o' clock
A. M. , Messrs. Toseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin
and William Kelley, Tr. being present, the following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved.
The Clerk informed the Board that the State Board
of Tax Commissioners had set the date of January 6,
1938 for the hearing on the appropriation ordinance
for the construction of the new sewer.
City Attorney Kelley presented the necessary papers
for the advertisng or the sale of bonds for the new
sewer, and informed the Board that the add should appear
in the papers on the date of January 7, 1938.
City Engineer Hodgin reported that the sewer at 16th
and Main was too small to handle the storm water, and
asked permission of the Board to construct anew sewer
on South 18th Street, so as to correct this condition.
The Board authorized the construction of this sewer.
Claims to the amount of $13,128.41 were allowed
after which the Board adjourned.
