OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY DECEMBER 17, 1937 .
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday December 17 , 1937 , at 9 :00 o' clock A. M. Messrs.

Simeon Hodfiin and William Kelley, Tr. being present
the following proceedings were had, to-wit:
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read.
•
The Board decided to wait until after the first of
the year before going ahead with the chamging of the _
traffic light at 16th and Main Streets, as the State -
Highway Commission would take over this route on , theo
date of Tanuary 1, 1938, and the Board felt that
this change should not be made until after this date.
A letter was read from Mr. C.R.Neth wherein he
thanked the Board for his appointment as a member of
the Police Radio staff.
Mr. Hodfiin stated that it was necessary to secure
a typewriter for the traffic survey and that he had
been able to locate a used one with and 18" carriage
at Dunnings for the price of 35.00, and asked the
permission of the Board to purchase the same. The
Board granted this permission.
Claims to the amount of 58,068. 62 were allowed after
which the Board adjourned.
