The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,, met in the office of said Board, Friday December l0, 1937., at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs. Joseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgih and William Kelley, J ., being-present the following proceedings were had to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read in 'Council. Permission to cut the curb a distance of 10' at 229 South 23rd Street was granted Frank L. Lossman. Superintendent of Streets Burkhardt reported that he could secure an option on 1, 000 trees from the Ernst Nurseries for $25.00, these trees to be delivered in 1939, and asked the opinion of the Board as to the taking of this option. The Board did not feel that it was the Proper thing to do. City Controller reorge Coons was authorized to pay for the purchase of one electric pump out of -the funds of the Sewage Disposal Plant and to transfer the balance of the funds in this account to the Sewage Bond Redemption Fund. Harold Ritchie was authorized to place Yr. C.R.Neth as one of the Police Radio Operators, Yr. Nethh to start to work January'`.1, 1938. A- request for an alley light in the rear of Tracy' s Store was referred to the City Engineer for investigation. City Engineer Hodgin presnted an easement for sewer right of way across the ground owned by Harry Gilbert,and the Board approved the signing of this easement. George Brehm was before the Board wanting them to advertise for the leasing of the Municipal Ball Park. Claims to the amount of $6,820.90 were allowed after - / which the Board adjourned.
