HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-01-1937 384 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY OCTOBER 1, 1937 . The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in the office of said Board, I/ Friday October 1, 1937 , at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs. Joseph Its. waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. , being presnt the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as corrected. City Engineer Hodgin reported that the Rules for the Radio Station were ready for the Mayors signature . Mr. Saylor submitted a bid price of $600.00 for sand- blasting the City Building. Mr. r?odp•in reported that no further change in the no parking on North B Street between 8th & 9th, and that the present arrangement was working veryhsatisfactory. Messrs. Floyd and Alonzo Gardner were before the Board with a petition for the vacation of a part of Sedwick Street also the first alley north or Richmond Avenue. Mr. Hodgin moved the adoption of this Resolution and on the second of Mr. Kelley, the same was declared adopted, and given the number of 255. and ordered advertised. Russel Crabb was before the Board complaining of the shooting of his dog at or near his home, he also presented a letter in regards to the same. Rudolph Sperling was also before the Board with the same kind of a complaint. City Engineer Hodgin presented a bill from the Water Works for !:g .Dd, which was for damage done to their water mains in the construction or the sewer trench to the Crosley Plant . Mr. Hodgin recommended that this bill be paid. Mr. Hodgin reported that he had taken up the question of securing some gravel from the Carmen Estate on North west 13th Street, and that Mr. Alonzo Gardner had sub 11/ - mitted a proposition to the Board in rerrards to this. Mr. Hodgin moved that this proposition be accepted and on the second of Mr. Kelley, this motion was carried. • Claims to the amount of *4, 379 .88 were allowed, after which the Board adjourned. 427 City Clerk.
