I/ The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in the office of said Board , Friday Tuly 2 , 1937 , at 9 : 00 o ' clock A. M. Messrs.To senh Y. Waltermannn, Simeon ITodgin and William Kelley, Tr. , being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceedinr meeting=: were approved as read . A petition for an extension of the water main on South 6th from P to Street was received and referred to the `,fa ter borks Co . Nrs . Johnson or the 'Art Association was before the Board seeking the approval of a donation from the Civil City to the Art Association of the sum' of i;200 .00 . The Board asked Nrs . Tohnson to submit her request in writing and the same would be referred to the Common Council for its approval. The Clerk was instructed to have the City Purchasing Agent get bids on coal for the various buildings of the city, these bids to be opened Friday July 9 , 1937 . The Clerk reported that. the stands at the City Market had been auctioned off and that the total bids were 4 ;;1140. 00 which were just about the same as last years f if-ures. The Salvation Army was granted nermissi:Dn to hold street services at the corner of 6th .,:. Main Streets . "ever Drug Company was ordered to cease leaving aereaway .doors in the sidewalk open, and that if this practice was not discontinued an affidavitt would be filed against him. All City Insurance was allowed to remain as in the vast, except the rarage Insurance which was given to the Richmond Property Corporation, and the Radio Tower Insurance which was given to Pilgrim and Frauman.
