The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Tuesday April 27, 1937 , at 9 :00 o ' clock A.M. Messrs . Joseph M. Waltermann and Simeon Hodgin being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit : Superintendent of Streets, Albert Burkhardt, and City Purchasing Agent Ray Stevens recommended the purchase of the Worthington Tractor with Sickle Bar and Hydraulic Lift for 832.25 3-30 ' Mower' Units from H. B. Highley 299 .25 The Board adopted this recommendation and ordered this equipment purchased. Superintendent of Streets Albert Burkhardt and City Engineer Simeon Hodgin recommended the following_ on the purchase street materials : W.L.Magaw,. Richmond, Indiana. Asphalt AE for distribution M202 .0945 M203 .092 M204 .105 Bituminous Coated Aggregate $5. 75 to $6.25 to be purchased from either W. L.Magaw or Mariani Co. depending on which would be the most advantageous at the time of purchase. Bituminous Concrete Surface to be purchased from W. L. Magaw at from $7. 75 to $8.00 per ton. Rock Asphalt from W. L.Magaw at $15.00 per ton. M106, M201, M202, M605, M204 in drum lots to be purchased from either W. L.Magaw or Mariani Co. Aggregates to be purchased from either American Aggregates Corp. or Richmond Gravel Co. All other materials to be purchased on the open market. The Board adopted this recommendation in its entireity.
