OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY APRIL 16, 190.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of-Richmond, Indiana met in the office of said Board,
Friday April 16, 1938, at 9 :00 o 'clock A. M. Messrs. I/
Joseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William
Kelley, Jr. being present, the following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the last meeting were approved
with the correction of the location of the street
light.
City Engineer Hodgin reported that the barrier
requested at North 17th and Morton Lake was not on
City property, but he had made arrangements with the
owners to have this matter taken care of.
City Attorney Kelley reported that he had changed
the contract for the Municipal Base Ball Park so
that the contract would be as the Board had ordered.
The following proposition was received by the Board: '
To The Honorable Mayor
Members of the Board of Works and
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
Gentlemen :
In behalf of the American Legion Band I
wish to extend the services of the band to the City
of RiOhmond, for from six to eight concerts during
the summer season, and in turn petition for the
$500.00 which we believe to be allocated for this
purpose, such fund then to be used by the Band
Organization in defraying its expenses to the annual
American Legion Convention.

waiting to be of service at your call, I remain,

The Board accDted this proposition and signed
contracts for the season of 1937
Claims to the amount of ¢17,975.73 were allowed
