After some discusion it was decided to let McKechnie-Peirce sue the City for this amount and in the event that said suit was won by McKechnie-Peirce, the Light Plant would return the amount of $873.69 to the Civil City. Only one bid was received for the privilege of operating an ice house on the Market House lot , this being from the Wayne Ice Co. who offered $70.00. The Board decided that due to the nuisance created and the complaints received over this privilege, that they would reject this bid and order the ice house removed -- from the lot. ,--- Claims to the amount of $10,984,52 were allowed, after which the Board adjourned. / Mayor. Attest: C ty C er
