OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 26, 1937.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday February 26, 1937 at 9 :00 o ' clock A. M.
Messrs, Toseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and
William Kelley, Tr. being present , the following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
approved as read.
A group of citizens from the west side aDneared
before the Board to Protest the excavating and
removal of gravel from Clear Creek Park, and stated
that they had heard that this i';as going to be filled
by dumping, after much discussion , the Board agreed
to visit this site this morning and make some
decision in regards the same.
A petition was presented and granted, to cut the
curb at 136 Liberty Avenue , and at Elm Place between
North 10th & llth Streets.
The Clerk was instructed to draw up and Improvement
Resolution for ornamental lights on Soutn 4th Street
from A to F,
Fire Chief Harry Williams appeared before the
Board asking for permission to purchase a new type-
writer. The Board authorized the purchase of the same.
Estin!ates were ordered for the installation of a
traffic light at North 10th and A Streets.
The Board then adjourned to visit Clear Creek Park.
After visiting the same the Board decided that there
should be no more excavating and that the gravel pit
should be levelled off and graded.
Claims to the anount of 9 , 178. 30 were allowed
after which the Board adjourned.
