OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 5, 1937.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond , Indiana, met in the office of said
Board, Friday February 5, 1937, at 9 :00 o ' clock
A.M. Messrs . Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Tr.
being present, the following Proceedings were had,
to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
approved as read in Council.
Mrs. Claude Berry was granted Permission to use
the rooms in No . 4 Hose House for the National
Youth Administration on Monday, Tuesday, .Wednesday
and Thursday, this permission being given with the
understanding that the same might be rescinded if
at any time the city should desire to make use of
these rooms.
A petition for a light at the alley between
13th and 14th Street on North F was referred to
the City Engineer for investigation.
Two petitions were received for the opening of
West Main Street , one being for the opening from
Easthaven Avenue to the Corporate Limits, and the
other from the Corporate Limits to Salisbury Road,
both of these were referred to the City Engineer
for investigation.
An Easement for the Whitewater Boulevard was
received and accented from May Rittenhouse.
City Engineer Hodgin reported that he had
referred the claims of. r McK_echnie-Pierce to Mr.
Hurd the Consulting Engineer for the Sewage
Treatment Works , and acting on Mr. Hurds recommendation
he was -n favor of authorizing the Controller to pay
the balance due McKechnie-Pierce, and the cancellation
of the City claims against them, if McKechnie-Pierce
would cancell the claims they had filed against the
Light Plant. The Beard adopted this recommendation.
Claims to the amount of .$4 ,003.46 were allowed
after which the Board adjourned.
