OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY DECEMBER 4, 1936.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday December 4, 1936, at 9 :00 o ' clock A.M. Messrs.
Joseph M. Walterman, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley,
Jr. being present, the following proceedings were
had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read.
The Board ordered an incandescant street light
placed at the corner of of 200 Northwest 16th Street.
The Pure Oil Company was granted permission to
cut the curb at south 9th and A Streets, a distance
of 40' on South 9.thand 42 ' & 34' on South A Street.
No bids being received for the Starr Property,
and the same having been declared a fire hazard by
the Fire Cliief, the Board ordered the same dismantled
within ten days.
The Mayor reported that he had secured from the
Municipal League, a schedule of the' water rates for
every city in Indiana, and the following committee
was appointed to go over these rates and compare
them with the rate that the City of Richmond has,
Simeon Hodgin, Harry Williams and Harold Salter.
City Attorney Kelley presented a release from
the Indiana Railway Company, said release being for
the sum of , 245.00 which was paid the City as
damages on the Police Automobile in an accident at
the corner of Fourth and Main Streets.
Claims to the amount of $34,474.32 were allowed
after which the Board adjourned.
