Saturday October 24 , 1936.
The. Board of Public Torks and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said
Board, Saturday October 24, 1936 , at 9 :00 o ' clock
AM. Nessrs . Joseph B. Nalternan, Simeon ITodFin and
illio.m. N.elley, Jr. being present , the following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
approved as read.
Permission to hang a sip-n across Main Street ,
advertising a play to be given by the Neth_odist
Church was denied, as the Board did not want to
establish a policy of allowing signs to be hung
across the streets, except for events of a Civic
nature .
The Clerk then read the Assesment Roll of Benefits
• and Damages on Declaratory Resolution NO. 252-1936,
Pertaining to:'the closing of North 16th Street from th=:
North line of North F Street to a pint where said
North 16th Street intersects with the south line of
North a Street as said North r- Street extends east
from said North 16th Street, the entire width of
said North r- StT-'eet from a pint where it intersects
with the west line of North 17th Street , thence west
throughout the entire width of North S street a
distance of Two Hundred (200 ) feet to a point where
said ',Torth r Street intersects with the east line
running north therefrom; the entire width of North
17th Street , commencing at a point where it intersects
with the North line of North r- Street ; thence north
throughout the entire width of North 17th Street to a
noi .t where it intersects with the southline of North
H Street ; the entire width of the alley between North
• 17th Street and North 18th Street from- a. point where
said alley extends north from the north line of North
(1. Street to the south line of North H Street . The Boat.
111 did then set the date of November 6, 1936 , at 9 :00 '=_.N
for the hearing of any remonstrances as to the amount
of assessment of benefit-. and damages .
Permission to cut 10 feet of curb at 1410 Ridge
Street was granted Yrs . Paolina .
Reciuest of permission to cut 100 feet of curb on
South 7th Street in C.lf. Starrs addition was taken
under advisement .
Claims to the amount of 1,829 . 18 were allowed
after which the Board adjourned.
