City of Richmond, Indiana,
WednesdayOctober 21, 1936.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond , Indiana, met in special session, in
the office of said Board , Vjednesday October 21, 1936,
for the purpose of taking final action on Resolution
252-1936. Messrs. Joseph Walterman and Simeon
Hodgin being present, the .following proceedings were
had, to-wit :
The Clerk then read the following Resolution:
RESOLUTION.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and
Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that after
giving due consideration to the remonstrances filed
against the vacation of parts of certain streets
and an alley , as described in Resolution Ho . 252-
1936, we find that there will be no injury or
inconvenience to the public in vacating the same ;
that the same are not necessary for use and
developement of the City, and that it would be
of public utility to vacate parts of said streets
and alley as described.
Therefore, the Board confirms said resolution
as heretofore adopted, and makes final its order
vacating the parts of said streets and alley as
described in said resolution, as adopted on the
llth day of September, 1936 .
Fr. Hodgin then moved the adoption of this
resolution and on the second of Mr. Walterman,
the same was adopted.
Fr. Byrum Robbins and 7illiam Pornady then
spoke and attempted to get the members of the .Board
to change the wording of the resolution, but did
not meet with any success .
The Board then adjourned.
