Friday October 16, 1936.
The Board of Public ':,'orks and Safety of the City
I/ of Richmond , Indiana , met in the office of said
Board, Friday October 16, 1936 , at 9 : 00 o ' clock A.M.
Messrs . Joseph Y. rlalterm.an, Simeon Hodgin and
:illiam Kelley, Jr. being present the following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read .
City Engineer Hodgin and Superintendent of Streets
Burkhardt, recommended to the Board that the bid of
.the International Harvester Company on the truck for
the street department be accepted. The Board adopted
this recommendation be adopted.
The Board ordered arc lights installed at the
corner of North 22nd and ('len Court , School and Hunt ,
and :`est 17th and Peacock Road.
Brandon rriifiths and A.. O. Viona were before the
Board relative to the deficit in the Civic Minstrel
funds , they were informed that any additional funds
would have to be appropriated by the Council end
that they would have to see the members of the
Council.
The question of confirming Resolution No . 252-1936
was amain discussed by the interested parties , and
the Board after hearing both sides , informed the
interested parties that they would render their
verdict Monday October 19, 1936.
Permission to cut the curb was granted to Mrs ..
Susan Johnson at 401 College Avenue .
Claims to the amount of .$6, 300 .26 were allowed
after which the Board adjourned.
