Friday October 2, 1936.
I/ The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richn
Richmond , Indiana, met in the office of said Board,
Frdiay October 2 , 1936,Meswrs. Joseph M. Waltermann,
Simeon Hodgin- and William ITelley, Jr, being present
the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
• as read.
A petition for a light at Ravina Park was received
and referred to ?Fr. Hess for investigation.
Wm. H. Sponsol wass - ranted permission to cut a
curb at 42 South 21st Street .
Cassa Tomlin was Fronted permission to nlace a
NO Pfi.RLING sign in front of his home at 541 N. 8th St .
The New Enamel Paint Co . asked permission to have
the yellow curb painted in front of their place of
business account of not having any rear entrance,
and being unable to receive any supplies other that
at the front of their store .
E.A. Mariana asked the city to place a five foot
strip of street in front of his building on Ft Wayne
.venue , in exchange for the deed to this Strip of
ground. Hr. Hodgin recommended that this be made a
''PA project and TY-r. Mariani to pay for the material .
A complaint was received as to the parkin- of the
trucks in front of the Eavey wholsale house and this
complaint was referred to the City Engineer for
investigation.
P: r. Howard Dill of the Richmond Water Works Co .
was present and informed the Board that there were
water mains underneath the proposed streets to be
vacated and that he was going to see Yr. Clements
- /
and make, some arrangements to take care of the
same .
Claims to the amount of : 2, 641. 32 were allowed
by the Board .
Bids were opened on a new Police Car as follows :

We are also glad to say on or about November 1st
we will have the new 1937 Model Chevrolet to
deliver. Not knowing now the price , will take
delivery or trade in at , 250. 00 now and deliver
at a price not varying from the present 1936 price.
These bids were turned over to the City Purchasing
Agent and the Chief of Police for investigation.
The Board then adjourned.
