was due to the work done by the property owner, and
the city was not responsible for either the work or
the condition it created. Mr. Hodgin also reported that
the sale of the Pest house for $150.00 had fallen througi
and that the same had been tore down, he asked the

Mr. Hanger of the Holmerden Company appeared before
the Board to demonstrate ,a machine and disinfect which
he guaranteed to rid the City Building of bugs, this

Mrs. Weaver of the Greyhound Bus Station was before
the Board seeking permissi.on . to park 2 busses on North
8th Street in front of Bar 39 during;; the noon and
evening meal hours , and stated that this was only
to be a temporary arrangement , as they were trying to
250
secure a new location wherein the could be off the
street entirely. The Board granted this request for
a temporary stand if the same was agreeable to the
property owners.
The question of Automobile and...Compensation
Insurance was discussed by the Board and it was
learned through Mr. Hess that all city insurance had
been let on a three year basis and divided amongst
the agents and the Board felt that if the insurance
had been divided on this basis , that they should
carry out the agreement of the former administration,
and allow the policies to remain as they are providing
the rates were correct.
Mr. Hess was before the Board in regards to a claim
for a rum made by the Fire Department to the home of
William Beemer on the National Road West , qnd stated
that this man was an employee of the Light Plant and
was in very poor circumstances and wondered if it were
at all possible to have this bill cancelled. Fire Chief
Harry Williams stated that they did not do anything at
this fire asathe garage was burned down when they
arrived and that since the call had been sent in by
a neighbor, without the knowledge of Mr. Beemer, he
was in favor of cancelling the claim, this action was
approved by the Board and the claim of $50.00 against
Mr. Beemer was ordered cancelled.
