Friday December 6, 1935
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday December 6, 1935, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs .

Joseph M. Walterman, Simeon Hodginr and William
Kelley, Jr. being present, the following proceedings
were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the nreceeding meeting were approved
as read in the Council Chamber.
City Attorney William Kelley, Jr. read a letter
from the Dayton and Western Traction Co . in regards
to the re-routing of street cars , wherein they stated
that they were willing to use any route designated
by the city, but were not willing to sign any Papers
to this effect .
William !Torrey Superintendent of the Municipal Golf
Course appeared before the Board and stated that he
wished to know what amount of the appropriation for
Golf Course and Ball Diamonds was available for the
Golf Course, he also had a lsit of materials which
he wanted for the course and the Board instructed
Mr. Burkhardt to get prices on materials from City
Purchasing Agent Ray Stevens.
On motion of Mr. Hodgin and the second of Mr.
Kelley the salary of Mr. "orrey at the Golf Course
was continued until the first of the year, to act
as supervisor on WPA work.
City Attorney Kelley was instructed to have a
contract for the leasing of. the Golf Course ready
for the next meeting of the Board which would be on
Friday December 13, 1935.
Monthly Estimate No , ? on the Sewage Treatment Project
was approved as follows :
McKechnie Peirce Co . 9 ,260. 52
Max Irmscher and Sons 2_2, 750.28
A communication was recieved from the International
Harvester Co . stating that they were now using all
t eiP current from the City Plant.
The Clerk was authorized to have a floor plug
installed in his office and to purchase a desk lamp.
Th`e contracte for= furnishing a Police Car was awarded
to Chenewo-th7%_Aliitor'Co- for•-'oi e-Standard Plymouth Sedan as
:par :sp'ecifications for the price of 057 .00 plus one
1934 Ford Tudor Sedan.
