City of Richmond, Indiana, -_et in the office of
said Board , Friday July 19 , 1935 at 9 :00 o ' clock
h.L Y. Messrs . Joseph Y. Walterman, Simeon .Hodgin
• and William Kelley, Jr. being present , the
following proceedings were h.ad,to-wit : •

The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
approved as read in Council.
Theodore Wynn appeared before the Board and
complained that he had not recieved pay for the
proper number of hours he had labored in the
manufacturing of tile for the sewer. City Engineer
Hodgin explained that the City realy had no control
over this job since it was not a part of the contract ,
but did agree •: to investigate the complaint . •
Superintendent of Streets Burkhardt was instructed
to notify the Motor Distributing Corporation to
keep their heavy trucks off North A Street .
4 A petition for_ an arc light on North 8th between
H Streets was referred to the City Engineer and
the Superintendent 'of the Light Plant for investigation. .
•
A communication was received from Lee Ridgeway,
holder of the garbage contract , informing the Board
that he was going to make garbage collections twice •
a week during the simmer months.
The Clerk was instructed to notify Yr. Ridgeway .
that we were having to many complaints about his
truck being uncovered and ask him to arrange to
keep the garbage covered.
Mr. Will Furgeson appeared before the Board in
the interest• of the Community Fund and asked the
Board to include the amount of r$3, 000.00 in the
budget to the account of Public Health- Nursing.
The report on trash collection, prepared by
-Al 3alzarulo was given to the Board for it ' s
study.

City Purchasing Agent Stevens was instructed to
wire an order to the Fabric Fire Hose Company for .
500 feet of . ^arrow 2 " fire hose.
Mrs . Toney of 263 Southwest 1st Street appeared
• before the Board and asked that something be done
in regards to the dust conditions in the blind
alley back of this address. The City Engineer and

Superintendent of Streets were instructed to see
what .could be done_ to correct this condition.
A. discussion was held on the radio report ,
submitted by Prof essor- Glen West of Purdue .
University and it was decided to ask the approval
of Council for the purchase of a new transmitter,
which would be installed in the present location
_: and that the Board would attempt
to have the county assume their share of the expense
of building a new building in a.proper location,
said building to be constructed during the next
year.
The manager of the Goodrich Service Station
located at South 8th and A Streets asked to have a -.
traffic line placed back of his drive on the 8th
Street entrance. The Board instructed Mr. Burkhardt
to take care of this .
Claims to the amount of •3826 .04 were allowed.

The Board then adjourned.
