Friday July 12, 1935 .
The Board of Works of the City of Richmond, _Indiana,
met in the office of said Board, Friday July 12, 1935,
Messrs . Joseph M; tidal Lerman, Simeon Hodgin and William
Kelley, Jr. bing present , the following proceedings Ill
were had to-wit : •
Minutes .of the preceeding meeting were read and
approved.

A communication was read from the Recreational
Boxing class requesting permission to use the shelter
house in the Glen =Filler Psrk on Tuesday, bvbednesday
and Thursday between the hours of 8 and 12 A.M. and _
the Board seeing no reason why this .permission should
not be granted, voted to allow same.
The Board ordered a light placed on North D Street
between 10th and llth Streets .
Mr. Day of the Morton Tire Shop asked that a
yellow line be painted in front of his store, so
• that this space might be reserved for his use in
changing tires and di . ,,„ oil , the Board
explained that it was • impossible1 forithe City to
set aside the pm.blic_ streets for private use .
Mr. glen West' s report on the Police Radio was
received and held over until the next meeting so
that the Board might have ample time to look over
said report ,
Mr. T id. Seaney appeared before the Board with
a suggestion for a sign to be placed on the truck
route said sign to be so. arranFed that it Might be
turned or concealed between the hours of 9 : 00 P.M. •
and 7 :00 A.M. The Board instructed 1,r. Burkherdt
to investigate this proposition.
Miss Shields of Gerhardt Bros ., appeared before
the Board in regards to the proposed cemtary in
Ravina Park and w as advised that the Planning Comm-
ission was having, a special meeting on Monday July -
15 and asked Miss Shields to -appear before the
commission on this ddte .
Claims to the amount of p42,030. 33 were allowed.
Therebeing no fmrther business to cone before
the Board, it adjourned. .
