Office of the Board of Works
City of. Richmond, Indiana,
May 10, 1935.
The Board of Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in the offices of said Board, Friday May, 10, 1935,
at 9 :00 o ' clock A.M. Messrs. Joseph M. Walterman,
Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. being present
the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
Miss Marie Koenigkramer of 218 North 22nd street
appeared before the Board with a request that the
Ornamental Light program be arranged to include the
said street, also to seek information as to the method
of proceedure in securing cement gutters. The Mayor.
called Mr. Hess and made arrangements for the installing
of lights and City Engineer Hodgin informed Miss Koenig-
kramer that his office was working towardnthec.r• placing
of curbs on this street.
Mr Garth Pilgrim requested. permission of the Board to
run a drain ditch from 1335 South 6th street and the
Board granted this permission with the express under-
standing that said ditch was to be used for cellar
drain only.
Mr. Earl Sharp was granted permission to cut a curb
on North 6th street .
A communication was read from F.M.Logan, State P.W.A.
Engineer, approving the compensation insurance for
Max Irmscher and Sons Inc .
The Board approved the extension of the Ornamental
Lights from E to F street on South 7th.
The Clerk was instructed to getlegal adds ready for
the receiving of bids on one motorcycle for the Police
Department and materials to be used in the alarm system
for the Fire Department and to notify bidders that the
date of May 24, 1935, had been set as the date for
receiving said bids.
The claim of Charles Tangeman for the cleaning of the
springs in Glen Miller Park was referred to Mr. Burkhardt .
Mr. Rudolph Crandall made tertian recommendations in
regards to the lighting of the ball diamonds in Glen Miller
Park and the authorized the carrying out of these recommend
ations . Claims 5, 919 .42.
There being no further business to come before the Board,
it adjchurned.
