City of Richmond, Indiana,
Friday April 20, 1935.
The Board of Works of the City of Richmond, .
Indiana, met in the offices of said Board,
Friday April 19, 1935, at 9 :00 o ' clock A.A .
Messrs. Joseph M. Walterman, Simeon Hodgin,
and William Kelley, Jr. being present , the
following ptoceedings . were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
read and approved.
A petition. for an Arc and Stop Light on Hunt
Street between L 3c M was received by the Board
and they decided to visit this corner after
dark and determine if said request was justified.
The report of Dr. Clark, who had a contract
for the collection of stray dogs during the
period between February 15 and April 15 was
received and the Board decided not to renew
this contract at the present time.
Yellow lines with the words, "For Patrons
Only" , were ordered painted' at the two entrances
of the Post Office.
Superintendent of Streets Burkhardt suggested
the use of aluminum paint for street markings
and the Board agreed to give this kind of paint
a trial.
City Engineer Hodgin presented a Resolution
giving Mr. Chas . Hurd authority to represent
the City in the approval of P.W.A. reports to
be made on the Sewage Disposal Plant . The
Board unanimously approved this resolution.
Fire Chief Harry Williams reported that A.J.
Miller of Millers Garage at South 9th and H St .
had asked permission to place a pump near the
curb line on the front of his garage and run
the hose from said pumps over the sidewalk to
fill trucks. The Board instructed. Chief Williams
to inform Mr. Miller, that this was prohibeted
by ordinance.
Claims to the amount of $ 275.90 were allowed
after which the Board adjour" ed.
