Office of the Board of Works

Tuesday March 19, 1935.
II/ The Board of Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in the offices of said Board, Tuesday March 19 , 1935,
• at 9 :00 o ' clock A.M. Messrs . Joesph M. Walterman, Simeon
Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. being present the following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Councilman Frank Wilkins asked for the installation of
an arc light-at the corner of Northwest 5th and K Street,
the Board decided to visit this corner after dark and
then make their decision.
William Morrey was appointed to manage the Municipal
Golf course for the year of 1935 and a salary of $125.
per month, during the playing season set as the salary
Mr. Morrey should receive.
Mr. Roscoe Bradus was given permission' to use the lot
on Newmans Hill for gardening purposes during the year.
City Market Master Carl Kutter, presented bids for
the ice house privelage at the Market House for the
ensuing year and the Bid of the Anderson Ice Co . was
0115. per season and the Crystal Ice Co . $105. per
season. The Board approved the bid of the Anderson
Ice Company.
There was only one bid .received for the car for the
City Engineer and this was from the McWhinney Company
on a Ford at the price of `y 130. City Engineer Hodgin asked
for the privelage of looking at the car and having a
demonstartion before making a purchase and the Board
agreed to this suggestion.
The question of allowing the Market Master a sum of
8. per month for doing the janitor work at the Market
House was discussed and the Board ordered this allowed,
and that this be made retroactive to the first of the
year.
Claims to the amount of .sgjj 'were allowed after
which the Board adjourned: =
