The Board of Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in the office of said Board Tuesday Febuary, 19, I/
1935, at 8:30 oclock A.M. The Messrs . Joseph Walterman,
Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. being present, the
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes ofthe previous meeting were approved as
read.
A petition for an arc light at South 15th and H Street ,
signed by Stanley C . Smith was recieved by the Board and
referred to Mr. Hodgin and Mr. Hess for investigation.
The Board also recomended that an arc light be placed at
`Southwest 5th. and C Streets .
The suggestion was made that the Board investigate the
possibilities of placing ornamental lights in the different
sections of the City and allow the property owners to pay
pay for said ligths in monthly installments at the same
time they paid their light bill . The 'Board approved of.
this suggestion and decided to take the question up with
the members of Council .
The Clerk read a communication to the Water Works
Corporation authorizing the water main extension on
West 17th. Street from Main to Peacock Road and the
inclusion of two fire hydrants .
City Engineer Hodgin was authorized by , the Board to
take up the question of the street line on North West 17th.
Street , with the property owners on said street .
Street Superintendent Burkhardt was ordered to see that
traffic light was installed at .North 7th. and D Streets ,
also to leave the traffic light on North 15th. and E Streets
at its present lmcation.
Mr. William Morrey appeared before the Board asking
the advice of the Board as to where to locate the barn
he was laving moved in Glen Miller Park. Mr . Hodgin, Mr.

Burkhardt and Mr. Morrey to look over the situation and
also to investigate the possibility of remodling the
old superintendents house into a community house .
Street Superintendent Burkhardt was authorized to
paint yellow curbs in front of doctors offices.
The Board then adjourned.
