Monday January 28,1535
• The Board of Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in regular session at the office of said Board,
Monday January 28,1935,at 9:00 o 'clock A. I. Messrs.
Joseph M.Walterman and Simeon Hodgin being present,
the following proceedings were had, to-.wit :
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Councilman .Leonard Mow stated he did not .understand
why,..the yellow traffic lines, recently placed on North
and South A Streets were placed across A Sreet at
intersections, where there were no traffic lights.
Street>Superintendant Burkhardt explained. that these
lines were placed there by mistake and would be painted
out.
The Board ordered the traffic line on North Seventh
and A Streets, set back far enough to give clearance
to the driveway of the filling station located on
this corner.
The Mayor reported on the bills from the Worrel
Company, for soap ordered by former Chief of Police
Ray, and stated that the City Purchasing Agent had
• been ordered to return as much of this material as
was possible.
• The Utility Committee of the Common Council was
present and allowed claims against the M.E.L.& P .P .
• to the amount of 10972.92
Claims against the City to the amount of -$ 451.89
were allowed by the Board.

There being no further business to come before
the Board they adjourned.
