The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session_ at the office of said Board, Friday • January 7, 1935, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of the said Board being present. His Honor Joseph , M. Walterman, Mayor I/ of the City of Richmond, Messrs, William Kelly Jr. Simeon Hodgin being present , the following proceedings were had to_ wit:: Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved'. City attorney Mr. Kelly, made a report on the payment of $boo, (Six ,Hundred) dollars and stated that he had turned this matter over to the State Board of Accounts for their opinion. Arrangements were made for, the Mayor, City Attorney and City Engineer to visit Indianapolis on Thursday, January 10, for a conference with Mr. Chas. H. Hurd, and his attorney in an effort to have the Sewerage Bond Ordinance, in shape tp present to Council, at their next regular meeting on January 21. City Engineer Hodgin, made a report on his investigation of Glen Miller Lake, and that the proposition of what the ' future policy ' should be and that he had arranged for a meeting of the Planning Cornmision on January 10, he also reported that after this decision had been made, he intended to use a dredge to clean out the mud. • Hia Honor the Mayor, reported that Mr. ShurJ.ey _at the Taxl• Station on South Ninth Street, had made a request, that the so called blind alley immediatly south of his building, be closed, this request was turned over to the City Planning Commission and a Petition be prepared for this request. Mr. Kelly, the City Attorney, reported that he had an Ordinance prepared to introduce to the members of the Common Council, which would give the City Controller the power to invest 4i205,000.00 of the Municipal Electric Light and Power Plants, depreciation fund in Goverment securities. : The Board granted permission to the Fish and Game Club, • I/ to meet in the Council Chamber on the first Thursday of each month.
