The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of
said Board, Friday December 21st, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All
the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb., Schnieder and Williams
being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :

termission was granted the Citizens Mutual Fire Insurance Company
of Richmond, Indiana, to usethe Council Chamber, for holding
their annual stock-holders meeting Wednesday January 16th, 1935.
City Attorney R. K. Shiveley, presented the claim of George H.
Ward, Attorney at Winchester, Indiana, for professional services
rendered the City, in assisting the City Attorney, in Cause of
Mize, VS, City of Richmond, Indiana, for damages sustained by
said Mize, plaintiff in the cause, which is now pending in the
Randolph County Circuit Court, on a change of venue from Wayne
County Circuit Court, Mr. Shiveley, stated that the case has
been continually delayed for some cause or other, and as the
new City Attorney, would have to defend the same, that for the
information of the Board, he stated the plaintiff, from what the
evidence he has secured in the matter did not have a leg to stand
on and that he would gladly assist the incoming city attorney
to fight this case to the end, The Board allowed the claim in
amount of $50.00, as rendered by said George H. Ward, and ordered
same paid out of appropriation made therefore.
• Claims in amount of $4, 245.15 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board then adjourned,
