Monday November 19th, 193 .
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Mono ay Novemoer 19th, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A .M. All the .nemoers of said
Board, Messrs, Crabo, Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Permission was granted the Standard Oil Co. , to cut the curd for drive.
way to filling station at Northeast corner of main and 11th Streets
under the supervision of City Civil Engineer.
The Board met to near remonstrances, if any, of persons whose property
is primarily assessed under Declaratory Resolution No. 251-1934, for
the vacation of a portion of the alley between Sedgwick and Northwest
8th Street, from Peacock Road to south line of alley running east to
Sedgwick Street. No one appearing or remonstrating, the Board approved
a fin_el assessment roll of oenefits and award of damages, heretofore
approved and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the
Department of Finance .
The Board received legal opinion from City Attorney Shiveley, in mat-
ter of extending garbage contract without advertising for new bids
which was on motion ordered submitted to the common council , for
instructions as to what action should be taken by the Board.
The Board directed the Clark to prepare an Appropriation ordinance
for operation of light plant in matter of Payroll, Repairs and
Meters for year 1334, in amount of $31, 200.00, and submit the same
to council at their meeting to oe held this evening.
The Board authorized the City Controller and Clerk, to investigate
as to amount of appropriations necessary to clean up the business
of the cities for the year ending Dec. 31, 1934, at submit the same
to council for action.
Claims in amount of 41421. G6, were allowed and ordered paid.
