Friday November 9th, 1934.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
. Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Friday November 9th,. 1.934, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the mernoers of said
Board, Messrs, Cra.00, Schnieder and Williams being present , the fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were on motion approved without .
reading.
The matter of advertising for aids on collection and disposal of ga.roagE
was considered and on motion taken under advisement, untilhsuch:::tiale
asv.the incoming Mayor may designate.
The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons primarily as-
sessed under Declaratory Resolution No. 250-1934, for the vacation of
a portion of Northwest"E" Street , ( formerly Chestnut St ) . from the west
line of Northwest 7th Street to the east line of the first alley east
No one appearing or remonstrating, the Board approved a final assess-
- ment roll of oene.fits and award of damages, heretofore approved and
now direct the sane be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Financ
The Board approved a primary assessment roll of oe-nef its and damages
under Declaratory Resolution No. 25171934, for the vacation of portion
of the alley between Sedgwick and Northwest 8th Street, from Peacock
Road to the first alley north running east to Sedgwick Street, fixing
the amount of benefits to be assessed to property at 0.5.00.
Mr. Hess, Supt. , of Light Plant was authorized to appear at hearing to
be held on freight rates at Chicago, Ill. , beginning November 16, 1934,
legimate expenses to be paid out of Light Plant funds.
The Board signi.contra.ct with Walter Bledsoe Co. , for coal to be used
at Light Plant as of date of September 1st, 1934.
. Permission was granted Maurice Hiatt , to cut the intersection for drive-
- way to filling station at Southeast corner of North8th Street & Elm
Place.
Claims in amount of $9, 210. 23, were allowed.
