The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana., met in regular session at the office of
said Board, -Friday September. 21st, 1934, at 9 o a clock A. M. All
the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb;, Schnieder and Williams
being present , the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the Preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. George Dixon, appeared before the Board protesting against
payment of 010.00, to tap sewer between South 9th & 13th Street
and south of South "L" Street, the Board on January 15th, 1934,
decided that as- all the material necessary in constructing said
sewer, was furnishechby .the City without:costwto property,, and
the C.Wa , A. labor was used furnished by the Federal Government
other than supervision of said construction which was furnished
by the City, and as the property had not been assessed for said
sewers, a charge of 410. 00 shall be assessed against property
owners if and when they shall decide to tap into said sewer, this
matter was continued to Monday for conference with city engineer. .
Mr, Walter Reid, appeared before the Board, stating that a Mr. -
Dolan, owning property on north side of West Main Street east of
Easthaven Avenue, was willing to furnish the necessary material
for constructing cement sidewalks from Easthaven Avenue east ap-
proximately 200 feet on north side of street , if same is done
with E,R. A.labo.r, Mir. Reid, stated there should be a, sidewalk
constructed on West Main Street, from llth Street to Easthaven
Ave. , and requested the City to construct said walk along property
owned by them, the Board take same under advisement until next
Monday for estimate as to probable- cost to City.
Claims in amount of $1357. 55, were allowed.
