The Special Council Committee, Board of P.,tblic Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Friday September 7th, 1934, at 9 oaclock A. M. All the members , of said Board, Messrs, Orabb, Schnieder and Williams being 'present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. In matter of petition for vacation of Northwest"E" Street, from west line of Northwest 7th Street to the east line of alley east of 7th Street, referred to City Plant Commission, the said City Plan Commission presented a report recommending that said part of Northwest "E" !Street, be vacated as petitioned for. The Board authorize a Declaratory Resolution for the vacation of said port- ion of said street. The Board granted permission to the Republican Central Committee to hold a political meeting in Glen Miller Park, with the privilege of using the amphitheatre, on next Thursday September -l3th. , A communication was received .from Jenkins Bros. Agents for the • Standard Accident Insurance Company, advising the City they were still paying compensation to the widow of George Clapp, fatally injured. December 2, 1930, while in the employ of the park depart- ment of the city, and that up to date they had paid a total of 197 weeks or $2031. 17. Also, McIntire $3613. 50, to date, same - was orderea filed. The Street Commissioner reported that Holtzpafel & Sons inc. , had the front rdller of a steam roller, weighing about 6500 lbs. which he would like very much to purchase for the use of the City to hitch onto city truck in light rolling of streets, etc. , stating the price of same would be $75.00, Street Commissioner was authorized to negotiate for the purchase of the same .
