HomeMy Public PortalAbout08-13-1934 Office of Special Council Committee. City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday August 13th, 1934. The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana., met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday August 13th, 193+, at 9 O 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, • the follow- ing proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Permission was granted the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant to install three additional light posts in South 5th Street, in front I/ of the new bakery being constructed at No. 28 South 5th, by. the Dietzen Company, to be paid for by said company. . Mr. Hess, Supt. , of Light Plant reported, that in matter of petition signed by the Board to be filed with the Public Service Commission of • Indiana, in matter of re-payment of borrowed money back to the Light Plant Depreciation Reserve Fund, that upon taking the matter up with said commission they suggested that the whole matter be handled thru the State Board of Accounts, and that he had filed two petitions with said State Board of Accounts, ' instead of filing the petition with the Public Service Commission, stating the Chief Examiner of the State Board of Accounts was favorable to granting both petitions but asked for time to study the matter, and promised that We will hear from him by Wednesday of next week. (See copy of petitions filed) . The Board received proposals for Engineering Services in connection with the intercepting sewers and sewagevtreatnient project, for the city, as follows to-wit : " Charles H. Hurd, Consulting Engineer, Indianapolis, Indiana. "Consoer, Townsend, Older & Quinlan, Engineers, Chicago, Ill. , " H. P. Jones Company, Toledo, Ohio. " Charles Brossman, Indianapolis, Indiana. All proposals received were referred to the City Civil Engineer, for tabulation and report. Claims in amount of $17, 921.32, were allowed.
