The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Friday August. 3rd, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present the fol- lowing probeedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. A communication from F.M.Logan, State Engineer,_ advising the Board that in accordance with the resolution and request of the Board, the time limit on accepting the grant of the United States Government on sewage disposal plant under Project No. 25, Docket No. 8437, has been extended to August 6th, 1934, ordered placed on file. In matter of petition for ornamental lights in North 21st Street, from Main to North "Cu Street, the report , of Supt. Hess of Light plant, showing that a majority of resident property owners had signed the petition, the Clerk was ordered to prepare the proper resolution for said improvement , and Supt. of Light Plant directed to prepare for said improvement . In rnatter =of -graveI to be used by M.E.L.& P.P. both the Richmond Gravel -Co. , and-the American- Aggregates Corporation, being the same the Supt'. of Plant-was authorized to purchase gravel from beth com- panies at the- ratio of 60% from Richmond Gravel Co. , and 40% from American Aggregates Corporation. The City Civil Engineer, was directed to furnish names of Engineers to the Clerk, and the Clerk directed to write the Engineering firms for proposals to furnish. engineering, plans & specifications for the proposed interceptor sewers and sewage treatment works, under the Grant of $140,000.00 from government, total estimated cost of said sewers, etc. , i3500, 000.00, proposals also, to include supervision and inspection during construction of said sewers and works, propos- als to be submitted by 10 A.M. August 13th, . 1934. - The M.E.L .& P.P. was directed to move poles at amphitheatre to new location of stage as contemplated by the administration. The Board approved the various payrolls to August 1st, 1934. • The Board approved claims in amount of 0364. 00. The Board then adjourned, Presto of Board Attest: W72fr1/-\ Clerk of Board
