John notes the applicants are here because of an Enforcement Order, the previous dock was about twice the size the commission typically allows. John notes that the applicants are Andreana Sideris, proposing to keep the dock's length at 57 feet to prevent their boat from bottoming out. Ocean Edge Resort, SE 9 - 1805, 2907 Main Street, 90/160 (14/1 ), removal and relocation of beach grass Tom Monaghan represents the applicant. Tom explains the request as detailed in the Minor Change Request. Tom notes the beach grass has been there for one season and they want to plant the grasses more landward . Commissioners are against the removal and replacing of the beach grass. They recommend taking no action and letting the grass establish for a longer duration of time. CA explains that these are not mitigation plantings, these are plantings to stabilize the dune that is protecting the condominium association . Removal of beach grass is not in compliance with State Wetlands Protection Act. NR refers to Greg Burman's report. NR suggests removing the beach grass may have an adverse effect. The department spoke with the Division of Marine Fisheries, Clean Harbors, and the Department of Environmental Protection . Staff will continue to monitor the health of the stream .
