The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 23rd, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A.N. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present the fol- lowing proceedings were had, to-wit : 11 The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. His Honor Windsor B. Harris, Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana, filed with the Clerk of the City of Richmond, Indiana, the following papers received by him from the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works, of Washington, D. C. as follows, to-wit : In re: Docket #8437. . Applicant City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana. (1) Letter under date of July 19, 1934, signed by Philip B. Fleming Executive Officers for Administrator:. (2) A short outline of procedure (grant ) , summary of proceedings to be taken by applicant in executing agreement when allottment is made for grant only. (3) Contract redord memorandum. Forms of proceedings to be taken by applicant in approving agreement between the United States and ap- plicant, and authorizing its execution. (4) Four (4) copies of the grant agreement between the City of Richmond, Wayne . County, Indiana, and the United States of -America. The above papers together with a .copy of .letter signed by Windsor B. Harris Mayor of Richmond, Indiana, acknowledging receipt of the above papers, mailed to Philip B. Fleming, Executive Officter for the Administrator, by the Mayor, were submitted to the Board. • The Board ondmotibn referred the above to the City Attorney, for advice as to proper procedure of the City, in matter of accepting the grant of the United States of America, in matter of construct- . . ion of intercepting sewers and sewage disposal plant, with the re- quest that the City Attorney, file tie same with the Board at as early date as possible, that the City may be able to avail them- selves of the grant. . The Board directed the Clerk, to notify the members of the Council, Mayor, City Attorney, City Engineer, inviting them to make a trip • to Winchester, Frankfort and Indianapolis, Indiana, Wednesday July 25th, 1934, at 8 o 'clock A.M. with them to inspect various dispos- al plants in these cities. -:.
