Friday July 13th, 1934.
The Sp.ecialCouneilGCotaMitt.:ee; Boa±dcbf3Publici-Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office said Board
Friday July 13th, 1934, at. 9 olclock A. M. Messrs, Crabb and Wil-
liams being present; Mr. Schnieder absent; two members of said Board
being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The. minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Pursuant to prices quoted. by The Homey Furniture Co. , for metal

folding chair; His Honor the Mayor was authorized to purchase for
use at amphitheatre in Glen Miller Park, 85, Metal folding chairs
as per sample shown, from The Homey Furniture Co. , at price of 41.10
each delivered to park, . .

A communication addressed to the Mayor, Special Committee and City
Engineer, from the H. P . Jones & Co. , Engineers of Toledo, Ohio. ,
extending an::.invitation to.:thei.M ,yor,Engineet and Committee and
other interested City officials, to be their guests on a trip thru
Northwestern Ohio, to look at Sewage Treatment Plants for which
said Co. , were the engineers located at Lima, Findlay, Norwalk, and
Toledo, Ohio. , stating to let them know when it will be most con-
venient to make the trip, they will make all neceasary arrangements
for transportation, etc. , The communication was taken under advise-
ment to be placed on file for future reference.
On motion the Board decide that the M.E.L.& P.P. be charged for
materials, etc. , used in resurfacing the north side of South"A"
Street, over the light plant conduits and where said street has
been opened by said light plant.
The Street Commissioner, was authorized to repair the alley be-
tween South 10th & llth Street, from 1st alley south of Main St,
to South "A" Street, if and when he can get to the same, and has
the money available.

Claims in amount of 45970.10, were allowed.
The City Engineer, S. W. Hodgin, was instructed to have Mr. Chas.
Hurd Consulting Engineer, of Indianapolis, Indiana, appear.before
the Board and Council, Monday P. ' M. in an effort to get the proper
information for procedure on sewage & disposal works, under the
proposed government grant of 4140,000.00.
The Board then adjourned,
