LEICK AVENUE SANITARY SEWER LATERAL RELOCATION CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Leick
Avenue Sanitary Sewer Lateral Relocation Contract; and
WHEREAS. the Borough has solicited and received three (3) bid proposals for the Leick
Avenue Sanitary Sewer Lateral Relocation Contract as follows:
Total Ouote
1. S. Brothers, South River, NJ $ 39,975.00
2. Lucas Construction, Red Bank, NJ $ 44.900.00
3. B &W Construction, South River, NJ $54.200.00
WHEREAS, S. Brothers, has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the Borough Engineer: and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to S. Brothers, in a total amount not to exceed $39,975.00, per attached
award letter; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose. Acct C-04-17-101-201
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
I. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with S. Brothers of South River, N.J. for the Leick
Avenue Sanitary Sewer Lateral Relocation Contract as described above
for the sum of $39,975.00 in accordance in all respects with the request
for proposals and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, T &M Associates and Borough Director of
Engineering.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval
from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour
Compliance.
