Mr. B.A.Bescher, Oity Clerk
Richmond, Ind. ,
Dear Sir:- We have your letter of the llth inst. Since the main-
tenance of the municipal golf course was entirely from the revenues of
moneys received from the players and since the committee in charge was
compelled to borrow money for the purpose of getting the course started
we cannot see any reason. why the. individual note of the members may
not be taken up from such revenues, provided the city is to have the
benefit of all revenues so received from the golf course. The members
of the committee should submit a detailed statement of moneys expended
from the proceeds of their loan.
Very truly yours.
W.P. Cosgrove, State Examiner.
Upon the advice of the City Attorney, the City Controller was author-
ized as. Treas. of the committee, to pay such claims from the revenues
received at golf course, and the Clerk was directed to file the above
communication together with his letter of inquiry, with CityvController
City Attorney Shiveley, made a verable report, of progress in matter
of protest against M.E.L.& P.P. valuation for taxation by the Indiana
