A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
AN ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES CONTRACT
TO ROBERT R. COFFEE ARCHITECT + 'ASSOCIATES FOR THE LYNWOOD NEW
ANNEX AND CITY HALL RENOVATION PROJECT FOR THE NOT -TO- EXCEED
AMOUNT OF $498,200 AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT -RISK
CONTRACT PHASE I TO ERICKSON -HALL CONSTRUCTION FOR THE LYNWOOD
NEW ANNEX AND CITY HALL RENOVATION PROJECT FOR A NOT -TO- EXCEED
AMOUNT OF $90,900
WHEREAS, the Lynwood New Annex and City Hall Renovation Project, Project
No. 4011.67.011 is listed in the FY 2013 -14 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, on October 31, 2013, the City of Lynwood released a Request for
Proposals (RFP) to provide architectural and engineering services for said project; and
WHEREAS, on November 14, 2013, the City of Lynwood released a Request for
Proposals (RFP) to provide construction manager at -risk services for said project; and
WHEREAS, Robert R. Coffee Architect + Associates is a qualified firm and have
the staffing and expertise to prepare the project architectural design for a not -to-
exceed fee of $498,200; and
WHEREAS, Erickson -Hall Construction is a qualified firm and have the staffing
and expertise to provide construction manager at -risk services for Phase I, for a not -
to- exceed fee of $90,900.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council awards an architectural and
engineering consulting services contract to Robert R. Coffee Architect + Associates in
the not -to- exceed amount of $498,200 for the Lynwood New Annex and City Hall
Renovation Project, Project. 4011.67.011.
Section 2. That the Lynwood City Council awards a construction manager at-
risk service contract, Phase I, to Erickson — Hall Construction in the not -to- exceed
amount of $90,900 for the Lynwood New Annex and City Hall Renovation Project,
Project. 4011.67.011.
Section 3. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Robert R. Coffee Architect + Associates in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
Section 4. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement between
the City of Lynwood and Erickson — Hall Construction in a form approved by the City
Attorney.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 21St day of January, 2014.
