A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD CERTIFYING
PARTNERSHIP HOUSING, INC. AS A COMMUNITY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
ORGANIZATION, COMMITING HOME CHDO FUNDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A -HOME PROGRAM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AND .PARTNERSHIP HOUSING, INC. TO DEVELOP AFFORDABLE OWNER -
OCCUPIED HOUSING AT 3303 MAGNOLIA AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood receives an allocation of funds from the U.S.
Department of, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) ;pursuant to the HOME Investment
Partnerships Program (HOME); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with HUD requirements, the City of Lynwood is required to
reserve and commit a minimum of 15% of the annual allocation of its HOME funds to a qualified
and certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO); and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood proposes to enter into a HOME Program Participation
Agreement, committing CHDO reserve funds to Partnership Housing, Inc., a certified CHDO, to
assist the City in carrying out the HOME requirements of providing affordable housing
opportunities to low and very low income households; and
WHEREAS, the City proposes to commit HOME FY 2010 CHDO funds of $237,205.60
and FY 2011 CHDO funds of $533,057.40 for a total of $770,263 to Partnership Housing, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council approves the certification of Partnership
Housing, Inc. as a CHDO.
Section 2. That the Lynwood City Council approves the HOME Program
Participation Agreement ( "Agreement ") with Partnership Housing, Inc. for the development of
affordable owner - occupied housing at 3303 Magnolia Avenue in a form to be finalized and
amended as necessary by Authority Counsel. .
Section 3. That the City hereby commits $770,263 of HOME CHDO funds to
Partnership Housing to be used for the development of HOME eligible owner - occupied housing
at 3303 Magnolia Avenue pursuant to HOME requirements.
Section 4. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement
Section 5. That the Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall' attest to the adoption of
this Resolution
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
