RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
CONTRACT WITH ROBERT 3. BERGEN, ESQ.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal
services in connection with the sale and transfer of property commonly
known as 46 Roosevelt Avenue, Carteret, N3 to the Middlesex County
Economic Opportunities Corp., a non-profit corporation of the State of
New 3ersey for use as a Head Start facility within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, Robert ]. Bergen, Esq. of the law firm Gill & Chamas, LLC,
possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said legal
services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are
available for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. Robert ]. Bergen, Esq. of the law firm Gill & Chamas,
LLC is hereby retained as special counsel for the above
referenced transaction in the amount of $3,500.00.
2. This award is made as a professional services contract
pursuant to N.].S.A 40A:11-5(1)(a).
Adopted this 20th day of December, 2001
and certified as a true copy of the
original on December 21, 2001.
