THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF
THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA,
OCTOBER 20, 2022
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,Indiana,met at 5:00 P.M.,October
20, 2022 in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond,
Indiana.
CALL TO ORDER
President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted:
ROLL CALL
Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Matt Evans. Absent was Board Member
Palmer.
Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk;
Shelby Noe; Kara Noe,Purchasing; Sherry Hemmingway, Payroll; Sherri Richey,Derek Hill,Bill
Henry, Code Enforcement; and Media.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Board member Evans moved to approve the minutes of October 13, 2022, supported by Board
Member Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Board Member Evans moved to approve the October 21, 2022 claims for payment in the amount
of Two Hundred Thirty Seven Thousand One Hundred Eighty Eight Dollars and thirty seven cents
($237,188.37),supported by Board Member Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.
PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Board Member Evans moved to approve the October 21, 2022 payroll claims for payment in the
amount of Seven Hundred Sixty Four Thousand One Hundred Sixty Dollars and eighty two cents
($764,160.82), supported by Board Member Robinson, Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.

BID OPENING

Board Member Evans moved to accept and file the Proof of Publication, supported by
Board Member Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.

President Robinson opened the floor for public hearing. There being no comments for or
against, public hearing was closed. The bids were taken under advisement for due

Board Member Evans moved to approve, supported by Board Member Robinson. Upon a vote
viva voce, the motion carried.
MISCELLANEOUS
• The 2023 Holiday Schedule for all employees except members of a bargaining unit which
have their Holiday Schedule defined in their respective Labor Agreements.
ADJOURNMENT
After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
