Sickmann, Corporate Council From: Beth Fields, Director of Strategic Initiatives Re: Ordinance 53-2022 Additional Appropriation Midwest Industrial Park Ordinance 53-2022, is an appropriation ordinance amending the 2022 budget. One of the next steps in the process of activating Phase III of the Midwest industrial Park is the expansion of the sewer capacity. A Preliminary Enginee3ring Report has been completed and we are ready to begin the final design, field work and bidding document preparation. Attached please find the proposals from Commonwealth Engineering for the needed work. Construction Engineering will not be part of this step, so that cost is removed from each proposals. That will be part of the construction contract. The total for this contract will be $2,016,298. Breakdown is as follows: MIP Fund $616,298 – Being appropriated in this ordinance ARPA Fund $200,000 – Being appropriated in this ordinance RSD 6201 $120,000 – Being appropriated by RSD RSD 6501 $80,000 – Being appropriated by RSD CEDIT $1M – Approved by Wayne County Council, Wayne County Commissioners & EDC Board The County and the EDC are partnering with the City on the activation of Phase III and have approved $1M from the Consolidated Economic Development Income Tax to assist with the funding of this contract. It was approved and appropriated by the County on November 3 and the EDC Board on November 7. This additional appropriation has been properly advertised in the Palladium Item advertised as required by Indiana Code 5-3-1-2(b) and a public hearing of Ordinance 53-2022 will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022.
