A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEEE TO APPROPRIATE AND
TRANSFER $21,900 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATE GAS TAX TO THE TRAFFIC
SIGNAL MAINTENANCE ACCOUNT NO. 2051.45.430
WHEREAS, due to a traffic accident the traffic signal pole at the northwest corner
of State Street and Tweedy Boulevard was knocked down; and
WHEREAS, this intersection is shared with the City of South Gate and
maintained by the Los Angeles County Public Works Department for both cities; and
WHEREAS, the cost to design and install a new traffic signal pole at this location
is $36,500; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's share for traffic signal repairs is 60% or
$21,900; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the unappropriated Gas Tax fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the City Manager
or designee to appropriate and transfer $21,900 from the unappropriated Gas tax fund
to the Traffic Signal Maintenance account No. 2051.45.430.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
