What's Best For you?" with Gynn t Cohen and Annette Reynolds Tuesday, October 11 at 2 pm As our children leave the home, and as we get older, the question arises - Should I stay in my home or is there an alternative that meets my needs and makes sense? How do you decide if downsizing your home is right for you? What are the benefits of downsizing? of staying in my home? What accommodations can I make if I decide to stay in my home? We will provide great information and answer all of your questions so you can make the best decision for you and your family. The program is a result of the work they did for themselves and their families. In -Person Activities, thank you! Book Club Zoom and In -Person Wednesday, October 12 at 10 am We will be discussing Midnight Library, by Matt Haig. Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision. Faced with the possibility of changing her life for a new one, following a different career, undoing old breakups, realizing her dreams of becoming a glaciologist; she must search within herself as she travels through the Midnight Library to decide what is truly fulfilling in life, and what makes it worth living in the first place. Please have your Senior Parking Permit visible on your vehicle's dashboard or windshield. We are working on stenciling those spaces this month to ensure availability during busy morning hours. We are aware, however, that even with those extra places, parking may become an issue during the hectic morning hours. As a result, we advise our clients to think about carpooling with friends who are also visiting the Center at the same time. We appreciate your help and your patience Senior Safe Program The Watertown Fire Department was awarded a grant again this year for the Senior Safe Program and will be installing Smoke/CO Detectors along with lock boxes for Watertown Seniors. While there they can provide a brief home safety evaluation. Renew your Parking Permit either by calling the Senior Center on 617 972 6490, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4:30 pm, or by coming to the Senior Center with your driver's license and car registration. No appointment is required. SE1i©R C l-nZE`a XR'11CIPAL, P..ARbX-ZG LD`6 C{SPL" MOE V SHMXE FACE UPC" ;sueoarrnnrOarrtFlFic.,aro.R EXPIRES Pen -,.ix :r riate # 7051 OF WATERTOWN.
