HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-23-2022 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, NOVEMBER 23,2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson and Matt Evans. Emily Palmer was absent. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Young, Ordinance Violations Specialist; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Sherrie Richey, Code Enforcement; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Evans moved to approve the minutes of November 17, 2022, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION REQUESTS BID OPENINGS BID AWARDS CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 172-2022 —REDDOG ENTERPRISES INC. City retains Contractor to provide services in connection with the emergency securing of windows and doors and cleanup at the premises located at 219 North 17th Street. Not to exceed $900.00. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 178-2022—SMARRELLI GENERAL CONTRACTOR,INC. Board of Works Minutes November 23,2022 For the construction of a 10'x18'x 6"concrete agility stair pad and base for the Israel David Edelman Police and Fire Training and Physical Fitness Center. Not to exceed $3,591.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 180-2022—FOUTS BROS,INC. For the purchase of a FB94 Custom Pumper Fire Truck for Richmond Fire Department Not to exceed$435,000.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 181-2022—MIKESELL EXCAVATING, INC. City retains Contractor for demolition of side porch located at 130 South 7th Street. Not to exceed$1,400.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 182-2022—B & B CONSTRUCTION OF RICHMOND,INC. City retains Contractor for demolition of back porch and garage located at 712 South 13th Street. Not to exceed $5,000.00 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Robinson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS ADDENDUMS RESOLUTIONS PETITIONS MISCELLANEOUS ADJOURNMENT After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
