The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the oSfic:e of said Boar
Friday June 8th, 1934, at 9. o '_clock. A. M. Messrs, Schnieder and Wil-
liams being present; Mr. •:O.rabb; absent; two .members, of said Board be-
ing �I
present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit.
The-'minutes of the preceeding meeting. were read and approved.

Complaints of. councilman Berm.. and Sheffer, '.in matter of needed re-
pairs in Southwest"E" Street, from 'College Avenue to the River, and
grading lot in John Street used for playground purposes, received at
last council meeting, was referred to Street .Commis'sioner to investi-
gate and report back to the Board.
The Board approved the contract and' bond ..of Lee Ridgeway, contract-
or under Improvement Resolution No. 923-1934, for construction of
cement sidewalks 4 foot wide on both sides of North "A" Street, from
North 19th to 20th .Street. •
At the suggestion and recommendation of Mr. Hess, the Board decide
the various Insurance .Agency of the City, be invited to meet in:1the
Council Chamber -on next Monday June llth, .1934, at 10:15 o 'clock,
for a conference and to assist in arriving at the best and fairest
method of apportioning the Fire, Windstorm, O thpensation, and Auto-
mobile Insurance, for the Cities and Light. Plant, pro.tectio.n; 'all of
which is to be re-writen as of- date of July 1st, 1934.
Claims in amount of $4+531.22, were allowed.
The petition for water main in Northwest 17th Street, from Main to
Peacock Road, was verbally reported on By H.A.Dill Sup't , of‘.Water
Works, and referred back to property owners for additional signatures
agreeing to be consumers of water on said street.
