' The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Friday May 25th, 1934, at 9 o °clock A. M. All the members of said 1 Board, Messrs, Crabby Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol- 1 lowing proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting 'were read and approved. Permission was granted the Gennett Corporation; to cut the curb and construct driveway at Tract 198 Official Map, City, situate on the 1 south side of East Main Street. at east end of the Main Street bridge The same to be constructed under the supervision of the City Civil Engineer and the plans as outlined by the City Plan Commission. The Building Inspector was directed to investigate and prepare an es- timate of the cost of repairing damages to the residence of Charles Shoemaker, on East Main Street, purported to have been caused by the former superintendent of Parks, Clem Carr, blasting out stumps in Glen Miller .Park in the year 1930. C'J The Sup 't. , of Light Plant was directed to purchase a Camera, for use of the City, and to meet in consultation with Messrs, H. Ray Chief of Police and R. Wenger, photographer of the police department the camera to purchase and. paid out of fi.E.L.& P-.P . Funds. A petition presented to council at their last session, and referred to the Board, praying that SW.17th Street, be graded and graveled ij under the FERA north of National Road to School property, was receiv- 1; ed, the Board decide as this is already on the list of projects, that the same will be attended to as soon as city can get to the street, 1 as other projects are in such shape, they cannot be left until the same are finished. The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids on furnishing the city with- necessary coal, for city building, fire stations and detention hospital for winter of 1934 .• - Claims in amount of 6144-1. 73, were allowed. • • • • • • The Board then adjourned, • Prest.of Board Attest: Clerk of Board • • • • • • II 1
