,Monday May 21st, 1934.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar.
Monday May 21st, 1934, at 9 ooclock A. M. All the members of said
Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the .preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board authorize the Street Commissioner and Engineer, to employ
Mr. DeBolt, contractor steam shovel, in matter of excavating South
4th Street to "WI Street, under the FERAO project.
The Board upon receomendation of Suplt, , of Light Plant, authorize
the clerk to prepare a bill for an ordinance appropriating the sum
of $45, 700.00 out of the general fund of said Light Plant, to accoun
of Transformers for outdoor substation; Underground work, Material &
Supplies, Flood wall east side of river below the .Bam and cleaning
the channel of the river.
Upon suggestion and recommendation of Mr. Hess, Sup 't, , of M. E. L.
& P. P. the Board decide to request a meeting with the Mayor, City
Attorney and members of the Common Council and Controller, •as the
Committee on Finance, after the meeting of the Common Council this
evening, for the purpose of discussing and to take some action, to-
ward investing the funds in the Depreciation Reserve Account of -the
Light Plant in government securities.
Claims in amount of $1239.92, were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
