Office of Special Council Committee .
City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday May 14th,_1934.
The Special Council Coznmittee,Board of. Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Monday May 14th, 1934, at 9. oeclock A.M. All the members of said Boar'
Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present , the following
proceedings were had, to-wit:
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for Bituminous materials
to be used on city streets for the year beginning June 1, 1934 and
ending. June 1, 1935.
The City Attorney was directed to draw up a contract by and between
the City and Earl Moore, for concession privileges at Glen Miller
Park, excluding the golf course.
The Sup 't. , of Light Plant, was authorized to contract with Erbseos,
for furnishing the necessary Lamp Bulbs for the coming year.
The Board after some discussion in the matter decide that the cost of
co.n:Tklercial advertising in the Richmond papers is prohibitive, and
instruct the Sup 't. , of Light Plant , that future advertising in the •
Richmond papers, laet submitted to the Board for,,_their approval before
said advertisement is placed with said papers.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons interested or
whose property is affected by the Improvement of North "A" Street,by
constructing -- ft. cement sidewalks on both sides - of street from North
19th to 20th Street, as provided. under. Improvement Resolution No.923-
1934. No one interested appearing or remonstrating against said im-
provement, and being fully advised in the premises, the Board decides
that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said im-
provements are equal to the cost of said as estimated by the city Civ-
il Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as
originally adopted the same being confirmed without modification.
Claims in amount of 428, 669.81, were allowed.
