Office of Special Council Committee
City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday April 16th,-1934. - — -The Special Council Committee,. Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board.
Monday April 16th, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said
Board being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Mayor was authorized to sign bill of sale of the 2,000 K.W. Turbo
Generator of the M.E.L.& P.P. to Robert J. Smith of Princeton, Ind. ,
for the sum of $5,000.00.
Upon recommendation of D.C.Hess, Sup 't. , of Light Plant, upon advice
of City Attorney Shiveley, the Board authorized Mr. Hess, to purchase
60 cars of Coal Screenings from the McCall Company at price of $1. 60
per ton f. o.b. mines subject to Code.
The Sup 't. , of Light Plant was instructed to purchase gravel and ston
from the American Aggregates Corporation, if price is no higher than
other gravel companies.
The Board authorized the City Civil Engineer and Street Commissioner
to employ the Steam Shovel, of Lee Ridgeway, at price of equipment
and operator of $3. 50 per hpur.
The Board approved the various payrolls to date.
The Board then adjourned,
